Constitution of the Southern Parties of the Southwest

In the Name of Almighty God, we the members of the Southern Parties of the Southwest, do ordain and establish, this constitution of the Southern Parties of the Southwest.

Article 1

That the leadership shall be made of the following: Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Liaison to the Western Tribes, Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms and Chaplain. All other titles and honors, shall be considered Junior to these.

The Chairman shall serve a term of four years, and shall occupy the office no more than three consecutive terms. After the third term, the sitting Chairman shall relinquish the title to his/her successor. This office shall be open to all members, regardless of race or sex. Upon entering office they shall swear this oath,

I____ do solemnly swear or affirm, that I will support and adhere to the Constitution of the Southern Parties of the Southwest. That I will Support, defend and obey, the Constitution of the Sovereign State in which I reside, I take this oath freely and of my own accord, so help me God.

The Chairman shall have to following duties:

 

To make reports to the members of the Party, of up dates, pending and possible actions. He/ She shall have the authority, to make inquiries into allying the party with worthy, and up standing political or heritage organizations. However, the Chairman MAY not conclude said alliances without the consent of the party membership.

The Chairman shall have the authority to make all press releases, to any news agency that he/she deems necessary for the advancement of the party. He/She shall at all times, be upstanding and mindful of the party. Knowing that he/She is the Chief Representative of the Party, the Chairman is expected to maintain a certain decorum while in office. Unruly and obscene behavior will not be allowed while he/she is in office, it will reflect poorly on the party and the movement in general.

The Vice-Chairman will act as chairman should the chairman be unable to fulfill his/her duties, until a special election is held. All other duties, will directed by the chairman as needed. This office shall be occupied for same amount of time as the Chairmans, the vice-chairman shall be elected along with the Chairman.

The Liaison to the Western Tribes will be responsible for maintaining contact with the Indian tribes of the West and he/she shall at anytime have the authority to initiate said contact and pursue the same. They shall occupy this post for two consecutive terms, each term lasting four years.

 

The Secretary of the Party shall have the responsibility, of maintaining the records of the party. He/She shall keep the records of the membership, and party meetings. He/She shall call meetings of the party at the behest of the Chairman, and record them as to their minutes. The secretary must make him/herself available to the Chairman, Vice-chairman, or Liaison to the Western Tribes when ever the need arises. This post shall be occupied for two terms, each term lasting three years.

The Treasurer shall have the responsibility of maintaining the partys financial records, recording donations to the party, collecting membership dues, and paying all debts. It will also be the duty of the treasurer, to disperse funds for any and all party function. The Treasurer shall serve for two terms, each term shall be for two years.

The Sergeant-at-Arms, shall have the duty of maintaining order in all party meetings. He/She shall call the meeting to order and open with a prayer, they shall hold this office for two terms, each term shall be for one year.

 

The Chaplin shall have the duty, of overseeing the spiritual well being of the party. He/She shall maintain close contact with the different Churches, Mosques and Synagogs in the area. Since the SPSW believes in the Freedom of religion, the Chaplincy shall be open to any member of the cloth without regard to what religion they practice. The Chaplin shall hold this post two terms, Each term shall be for two years.

 

 

Article 2.

The official flag of the Southern Parties of the Southwest shall be the Third National Confederate Flag, otherwise known as the Blood stained banner. This was the last official National flag of the Confederate States of America, therefore it is our official flag. The size of the Partys flag shall be, 58 by 34.

The flag shall be flown in all official Party functions, and shall be treated with respect and honor. Members wishing to fly this flag, shall do so with reverence, respect and honor.

Section 2

The Confederate Battle Flag while a Confederate flag is a military Flag, the Southern Parties of the Southwest is a Civilian Political Organization, therefore flies the Civilian Confederate Flag.

 

Article 3

Since the Confederate State of America was made up of many different cultures and races, Racism SHALL not be tolerated, nor shall it be allowed by any member or officer of this party. While the party will always hold that a person is allowed their own opinion, when it comes to racism, that is not allowed nor will it be tolerated. This cannot be stressed strong enough.

Article 4

All members shall have the right to equal suffrage, in no instance shall their voice not be heard. In all proceedings, members shall have the right of vote. They shall have the right to bring motions forward for debate, and to request full consideration for their motions.

All members must conduct themselves in a Southern mannerly way, they shall be respectful to all they meet. Men shall act as Southern Gentlemen, women shall act as Southern Gentlewomen. Members must realize that their actions reflect on the party, therefore they must be mindful of this at all times.

Article 5

Section 1

The SPSW is a law abiding organization, therefore unlawful acts shall not be tolerated. Members engaging in unlawful activities, shall be dismissed from the party and the appropriate authorities notified.

Sub-section 1

Before a member can be dismissed from the party, they will have the right to a full and fair hearing before a Tribunal . This Tribunal shall be made of, the Chairman, Liaison to the Western Tribes and Chaplin. The Vice-Chairman shall act as prosecutor for the party, the Accused shall have the right to request any advocate they wish.

Sub-Sections 2

Any member accused of any form transgressions, shall have the right to confront their accusers and learn what accusations are made against them. They shall all times, be considered innocent until proven otherwise.

 

Section 2

All members shall have the right to worship God as they see fit, or not to as the case may be. At no time, shall any member be called to task for their religious views, or lack of them.

Section 3

Every member shall have the right of free speech, bearing in mind of the consequences of their speech. Given the general publics perception of the Southern movement, we must treat not only each other but the public with the utmost courtesy. The General public has been lied to, it is our duty to educate them and counter these lies with Southerly Patience.

 

Article 5

The purpose of the Southern Movement, is the re-establishment of the Confederate States of America. Therefore, it is also the ultimate purpose of the Southern Parties of the Southwest. However, our party shall be dedicated to the Sovereignty of the Southwestern States, primarily Arizona, New Mexico and Texas.

 

Article 6

Amendments to this Constitution shall be allowed providing it is done according to this fashion. Two thirds of the membership must agree that it is necessary, for the continued well being of the Party.

 

We the Officers and membership of the Southern Parties of the Southwest, do hereby call upon the people of the South to take back what was stolen. To stand up and tell the oppressors, to leave our beloved Confederacy now and forever. To demand the Sovereignty of the Southern Nation known as the Confederate States of America, be re-instituted among the Nations of the Earth.

It is with firm hope, that this will happen in Gods good time. And we call on the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to make this happen Amen and Amen.
